Croatian made

Croatian hypercar manufacturer Rimac shot to prominence a few years ago. At the time, a certain motoring show host crashed an example of its Concept One hypercar while competing at a hill climb event in Europe.

Young entrepreneur Mate Rimac founded the company. Subsequently, the brand has gained fame in the automotive industry when Porsche took a major shareholding of his company. More recently, the future of Bugatti was placed within his custodianship.

Recently, Rimac launched the Nevera, named for a sudden and mighty Mediterranean storm that races across the open sea off Croatia

Faster than Ferrari

The limited-edition model produces 1 408 kW of power from four electric motors. This output endows the new Rimac with staggering performance figures. In fact, it sprints from 0-100 km/h in 1,85 seconds. Its top speed is claimed as a whopping 412 km/h.

Notably, from rest to 161 km/h (100 mph) takes 4,3 seconds and it’ll hit 300 km/h from standstill in 9,3 seconds. It achieves a verified 8,6-second quarter-mile time. Consequently, the newcomer announced its performance credentials to the world by obliterating the most powerful car on offer from Ferrari today, the SF90, in a series of drag races on a popular motoring YouTube channel.
