Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A confirmed yesterday that it produced Aventador number 8 000 and the 11 000th Huracan at its plant in Sant’Agata Bolognese.

The Aventador milestone was reached seven years after its market introduction. Chassis number 8 000 is an Aventador S Roadster that will be delivered to a customer in Japan. After just four years of production Huracán number 11 000 rolled off the assembly line. Huracan chassis number 11 000 will remain in Lamborghini’s home market. To put it into perspective the Huracan’s predecessor, the Gallardo sold just over 14 000 units in its 10-year lifespan.

Record sales

From January 1 to June 30, 2018 Lamborghini delivered a total of 2 327 cars to customers around the world. Compared to the same period in 2017 this is an 11 per cent increase. This figure surpasses the full year sales numbers of only five years ago.

The growth of the brand in the first half of the year complete discounts Urus SUV sales. First deliveries of the new model are set to start in a matter of weeks. The second half of the year is bound to be more fruitful for the brand.
