It was just a matter of days ago when BMW pulled the wraps off the all-new M2. This is the second generation of the small performance coupe that heads up the 2 Series range. Now a German tuning house has taken the halo derivative and ramped it up to 11. Say hello to the Manhart MH2 560.

Manhart is no stranger to working its magic on performance cars. In fact, we have featured many of their bespoke creations on our site. The company has not yet produced a Manhart MH2 but it has rendered what its final product will look like.

The Manhart MH2 560 does not shy away from the contentious appearance of the latest M car. In contrast, it leans into the polarising outward demeanour. We have to admit, after seeing the M2 up close at the recent BMW M Fest, it is far easier on the eyes in person.

More Aggro

As you can see from the rendered images above, the Manhart MH2 560 is not subtle. The car will feature Manhart’s distinct black with gold colour combo. The gold pin-striping highlights one of the biggest critiques of the M2’s appearance, those boxy front air intakes.

The exterior carbon upgrades will include a carbon front flicks, carbon rear spoiler, carbon side flicks, carbon aero flicks front and rear, carbon roof spoiler, and carbon rear diffuser.

More Oomph

To back up the butch appearance Manhart lifts the power of the twin-turbocharged 3,0-litre engine. Peak power has been increased from 338 kW/550 N.m to a whopping 412 kW/650 N.m. The performance upgrade is accompanied by a stainless steel exhaust system that terminated with a quartet of 100 mm carbon or ceramic coated tailpipes. The company has not made any performance claims for the MH2.
