Return to Geneva

We’ve brought you info on the C_Two before, most recently in this post. where you can learn about the car’s intricate aerodynamics systems. Latest news is that Rimac will launch the production version at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. Rimac will also give the car a proper name replacing C_Two, which has been a temporary handle. Customer deliveries are planned to start at the end of 2020.

Company founder Mate Rimac stated that production car will differ from the concepts we’ve seen in 2018 and 2019 “with improvements in design, ergonomics and performance.” Power and torque figures have remained unchanged from initial claims. The C_Two will produce 1 400 kW of power 2 300 N.m of torque from its four electric motors. According to the company, these figures will allow it to sprint to 100 km/h from standstill in under 2,0 seconds. And that it will have a usable range of 650 km.

Testing times

Ahead of its production unveiling 17 Rimac C_Two Prototypes have been testing out in the real world and at racetracks and testing facilities all over the world. 17 cars is quite a number considering that the company plans to sell just 150 units. Since Porsche took a stake in Rimac last year the company has also been given access to Porsche’s high-speed test facility in Nardo, Italy. You can see the car undergoing crash testing here and you can see it in action in the video below.
