If your name is Federico Sceriffo and you are a professional drifter then there can be only one option in terms of what you drive: a Ferrari.

Sceriffo teamed up with a team called FFF Drifting Department, who prepared a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano for the Italian driver who trained in Japan under the well-known Team Orange outfit.

The car retains its 6,0-litre V12 powerplant, which in stock form is good for roughly 470 kW. With the help of a twin-supercharger set-up Sceriffo’s charge, dubbed “Fiorella”, makes almost 700 kW. To help harness the prodigious power, a bespoke Ohlins racing suspension is coupled with 20-inch OZ wheels.

As if a Ferrari drift car is not conspicuous enough the team painted the car in eye-catching yellow and fitted a custom bodykit with a massive rear wing.

The team with Sceriffo at the helm plans to contest the 2018 World Formula Drift series. Unfortunately, their first round was not as successful as planned. The 599 caught fire during the season-opener at Long Beach after the car made contact with a tyre wall. You can see that incident in the video below.

After inspecting the damage Sceriffo and the team are keen to rebuild the car in time for the next round at the end of April.
