There are many cars in the world of drifting that feature interesting powertrain swaps. Most owners will go for a motor from within the same stable as the OEM. Some may go down the trusted route of an engine they know makes reliable power, you know, like a 2JZ or a Barra. However, never before have we seen a W12 Bentley powered Nissan 350Z. Yeah, you read that correctly, this Z car uses the engine from a fricken Bentley.

One of a kind

The W12 Bentley powered Nissan 350Z must be the only one of its kind in the world. The installation was undertaken by a Polish tuning shop called Gregor Performance Garage. They have dubbed their creation the Nissan 600Z W12TT.

Check out this wild drift video shot on the streets of Poland with a very neat (also engine-swapped) BMW 5 Series.

This outfit, like many in Poland it seems, is into drifting. Their 350Z originally housed a twin-turbo Toyota 2JZ set-up. Check out the world’s first Audi RS2JZ, built right here in South Africa. However, they decided that they wanted something a little more special. So, out came the inline six. In its place they shoehorned a W12 usually found in the engine bay of a Continental GT Coupe. The complete installation took about four months.

W12 TT

The W12 6,0-litre engine isn’t much longer than an inline six but it’s a heck of a lot wider. Oh, and it still retains the twin turbochargers as it does in the Bentley. Reports are that the engine produces around 450 kW and a massive 940 N.m of torque. All that grunt is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF eight-speed transmission. The car looks pretty tame from the outside, which must make it a great sleeper on the streets, until you hear it, that is. You can listen to the car from cold start in the video below.
