The Tail of the Dragon is a road that is considered one of the most dangerous in the US. Route 129 cuts through the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina. The 18-km stretch of road has 318 corners. Watch as rallycross driver Scott Speed and Subaru attack the Tail of the Dragon in this video.

Fast Scotty

The excellently named Scott Speed is a former Formula One and Nascar pilot. He currently competes in the fast-paced world of rallycross for Subaru. He took his regular steed for a blast like no other. Thanks to his prime sponsor, a large energy drinks company, Speed got to attack the Tail of the Dragon without fear of other traffic. 

The rallycross spec weapon of choice is a Subaru WRX STI. The turbocharged flat-four produces about 450 kW and over 900 N.m of torque. Drive is sent to all four wheels which allows for the coolest AWD slides through the undulating and constantly weaving road.
