Much has been said and written about the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. It is one of the most radical cars to be launched this year, and one of the most extreme Lambos ever made. Incidentally, the range-topping Lambo is making its way to South Africa. You can find out more by clicking here. The SVJ made headlines when it claimed a Nurburgring lap record for production cars. In part, the lap time was made possible by the Aventador SVJ ALA active aerodynamics package.

This system was first introduced in the Lamborghini Huracan Performante. You can read our driving review by clicking here.

For those who aren’t too clued up on such matters, but are keen to learn more, Lamborghini released the video (below) to explain the advantages of the ALA system, or Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva to give it its full title, and how it works in different dynamic situations to extract maximum performance.
