Vital statistics

The V12-powered Aventador SVJ produces 566 kW at 8 500 r/min along with 720 N.m of torque. That power is tasked with moving just 1 525 kg about the same as a Golf GTI. Mass is in kept in check by the adoption of carbon-fibre for many of the body parts. This means the Aventador SVJ can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 2,8 seconds and to 200 km/h in 8,6. Top speed is rated at over 350 km/h.

Aero grip

To help harness the power the SVJ adopts the latest version of the firm’s Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA), Lamborghini’s patented active aerodynamics package. The system improves both drag and downforce.

The ALA system varies aero load to achieve high downforce or low drag, depending on dynamic conditions. Electronic motors open or close flaps in the front splitter and on the engine cover to steer airflow. The ALA system flaps are activated in less than 500 milliseconds.  To boost cornering forces, the rear wing’s inner air channel is split right and left, allowing aero vectoring for high-speed cornering.
