No Slouch

The Giulia is a great car. We have spent many thousands of kilometres behind the wheel of a 2,0-litre turbo version and enjoyed all of them. The hot QV version is a match for main rivals from Mercedes-AMG and BMW’s M division. The Giulia QV has a 2,9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine that drives the rear wheels through an automatic transmission. The engine is good for 375 kW of power.

Lightweight

The Giulia GTA is a lightweight track version of the QV. The Giulia GTA has the same drivetrain as the QV but power has been increased to 403 kW. The engine now breathes through a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system that has twin central outlets in the diffuser. Moreover, the car’s mass has been reduced by over 100 kg. Alfa Romeo says the GTA will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3,6 seconds thanks to the launch control system. Watch the GTA tested at this link.
