We have featured some interesting BMW project cars on our website over the years. These include the world’s first AWD M50d 2 Series and a V12-powered Z4. But this turbocharged V12 BMW E30 drift car has to be one of the wildest we’ve seen.

Turbo 12

The E30 BMW 3 Series is an extremely sought-after model today. The largest engine ever fitted to an E30 by BMW measured 3,2 litres. BMW SA produced the 333i exclusively for sale in SA. This turbocharged V12 BMW E30 drift car takes things to a whole new level.

Polish drifter Kamil Sikora is responsible for this crazy creation. He stuffed a BMW M70B50 engine into the engine bay that could hardly handle a large inline six. When new the engine produced 220 kW/450 N.m. That kind of power would just not cut it for professional drifting duties.

To up the ante Sikora slapped a beeeg turbocharger onto the 5,0-litre V12. Doing so doubled the power and torque outputs to a healthy 450 kW/900 N.m all of it sent to the rear axle through a manual transmission. Watch and listen to the turbocharged V12 BMW E30 drift car in the video below.
