Sports coupe drag race features a Ford Mustang and Toyota Supra

UK auto website Car Wow has brought together to unlikely rivals for this sports coupe drag race: one from the very far east and the other from the west.

Turbo vs NA

In the blue corner, representing the Yeew Ess of Ay, is the latest generation of the Ford Mustang. It is powered by a 5,0-litre naturally aspirated V8 that is connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels.

In the grey corner, flying the flag of the Rising Sun, is the fifth-generation Toyota Supra. It is powered an inline-six that is turbocharged. The motor is mated with an eight-speed automatic that also drives the rear wheels. The Supra is this video isn’t quite standard. It has been breathed upon by UK tuning specialists Litchfield and now boasts 600 N.m of torque. The automatic Ford doesn’t have any form of launch control, whereas the Toyota does, which also tilts matters a little.
