Bespoke appearance

The German tuning house has created the Novitec McLaren GT, its own take on McLaren’s grand tourer. Starting point for the exercise is a new aerodynamic-enhancement kit. A two-piece front bumper gives the mid-engine sportscar a new face. The splitter reduces front-axle lift for improved stability at high speeds. Carbon surrounds on the outer air intakes optimise the airflow to the radiators and front brakes. Novitec side sills give the Novitec McLaren GT a lower stance. Carbon scoops for the upper air intakes direct airflow into the engine bay. A new three-piece carbon-fibre rear spoiler sharpens the profile and increases rear-axle downforce.

This new bodykit is complimented by 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged wheels developed in cooperation with Vossen. The new alloys are shod with 245/30 and 325/25 high-performance tyres. Lowering springs drop the ride height by about 25 mm.

More power

Novitec’s engineers have worked on the 4,0-litre twin-turbocharged V8. A new ECU remaps injection and ignition parameters as well as boost pressure control. The company offers different power levels, in its most powerful guise the engine develops an additional 64 kW and 84 N.m more torque. Peak power is now 520 kW with 714 N.m of torque. Novitec says the its McLaren GT can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3,0 seconds while top speed increases to 333 km/h.
