The Renault Duster has been a staple of the French brand’s sales volume since it was launched locally over a decade ago. An all-new Duster has just been unveiled, which should be introduced locally in time.

Sister Act

The all-new Duster you see here was unveiled by Dacia. This is a sister brand to Renault. Although, the car developed by the Romanian-based automaker usually form the basis of those we receive here.

This third-gen Duster has quite a modern appearance with a more grown-up look than its predecessor. Funky grille and badging aside, a Renault Duster will have the same basic design.

More Capable

The high-riding Renault Duster has always been pretty capable off the beaten path. The model looks set to increase its off-road prowess with 217 mm of ground clearance for the 4×4 version.

Speaking of which, the all-new Duster 4×4 has multiple presets to deal with varying conditions. The 4×4 Terrain Control system has five settings: Eco, Auto, Snow, Mud/Sand and Off-Road.

There are two powertrain options available in Europe. The first is a 1,6-litre petrol with a hybrid component that delivers a combined 103 kW. A smaller 1,2-litre triple offers 96 kW.

Our sources at Renault SA tell us that the all-new Duster will make its way to SA in the latter half of 2024.
