The three rivals competing in the AWD hot hatch drag race are the recently launched Audi S3, the BMW M135i and the Mercedes-AMG A35. These three were built as rivals to each other, but it seems as though all companies started with the same brief and arrived at the same conclusion.

Each car features a 2,0-litre turbocharged inline four cylinder petrol engine, with extremely close peak power and torque outputs: 228 kW/400 N.m for the Audi, 225 kW/450 N.m for the BMW and 225 kW/400 N.m for the A35. All three feature automatic transmissions, with launch control functionality, coupled with all-wheel-drive systems. But, which of the three makes the best use of the recipe? That is the question that Car Wow aims to answer in this video.
