New family look

The ID.4’s exterior has a modern appearance with a flowing shape that results in a drag coefficient of 0,28. LED headlights and taillights are standard. Large wheels with a diameter of up to 21 inches underline the vehicle’s character. ID.4 measures 4 580 mm in length and features an abundance of space thanks to the packaging of the drivetrain. Luggage volume ranges from 543 to 1 575 litres depending on the seating configuration. Two digital displays as well as “Hello ID” voice commands handle all control functions in the interior.

Long-range SUV

VW ID.4 SUV powertrain

The VW ID.4 will be brand’s first foray in to the battery powered SUV segment. SUVs represent the largest segment of the new vehicle market and are a popular choice in the world’s largest new car markets, USA and China. The ID.4 is powered by 77 kWh of energy which allows a range of up to 520 km. The battery is installed below the passenger compartment for a low centre of gravity. An electric drive motor is positioned at the rear axle. This unit generates 150 kW of power that endows the ID.4 with a 0-to-100 km/h time of 8,5 seconds and a top speed of 160 km/h.
