Michael Sieders in the Mitsubishi Triton tried to run up the inside of turn two after the Holden Colorado (basically a bakkie version of the Chevrolet Trailblazer) of Tom Alexander and Mazda BT-50 of Ryal Harris came together in turn one. Both Alexander and Harris had won each of the previous two SuperUtes races on the weekend, and weren’t going to give the other any room.

Unfortunately for Sieders, he was clipped in the braking zone by Alexander, who struggled to regain control of the Holden – sending him flying into the gravel and rolling no less than five times. Thankfully, Sieders emerged unhurt from the wreck and immediately acknowledged the concerned crowd.
