True to theme

UK company David Brown Automotive is responsible for the Mini Remastered Oselli Edition. The car is rebuilt using the expertise of both firms, DBA and Oselli. Although this creation can be considered a restomod, it does stay true to the original car’s ethos. Unlike this Super Cooper Mini that rewrites the design brief completely.

At the heart of the Mini Remastered Oselli Edition is an original A-series motor that displaces just under 1,5 litres. Oselli modifies several areas including hand-porting and polishing the cylinder head, adopting a strengthened crankshaft as well as a performance camshaft and a twin-SU carburettor set-up. Peak power is rated as 93 kW along with 153 N.m of max torque. The 0-100 km/h now takes a claimed 7,8 seconds.  

Putting down the power is a five-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential. Other upgrades include high-performance brakes by AP Racing, sports suspension by Bilstein and a free-flowing sports exhaust system. 13-inch wheels are fitted with performance rubber.

Feeling racy

Owners can order their ‘new’ Mini in either a two- or four-seat configuration. Choose the former and you get two bucket seats with four-point harnesses and a rear hand-trimmed roll cage. Other areas of customisation include  a choice of colours: ‘Carbon Grey’ and ‘Old English White’ base colours match the accents in either ‘Competition Red’, ‘Royal Blue’ or ‘Heritage Green’. All exterior graphics are hand-painted for an extremely high-quality finish.
