You may not have heard of Rezvani, and you’d be completely forgiven for that. Keen followers of our site may recall one of its products appeared in an article we published a few days ago (link here). However, the US firm made headlines this week with the unveiling of its Rezvani Beast. The dramatic-looking supercar is the second of its name and part of a growing portfolio. Rezvani says the “BEAST™ was designed and manufactured in the USA to the highest standards. The company says it will be building just 20 units.

A New Face

Rezvani’s statement about being designed and manufactured in the US is not inaccurate. However, the sleek and low-slung Beast is based on the most recent, C8, generation Corvette. The Beast carries its own design, fashioned entirely from carbon-fibre.

A twin-turbocharged V8 sits behind the cabin. The engine has been tuned to deliver 746 kW of power. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission sends all of it to the rear wheels. Rezvani says the Beast can blast from 0-100 km/h in 2,5 seconds. It will reportedly cover the standing quarter mile in 9,6 seconds. You can hear the V8 in the video at the bottom of this post.

Security Conscious

The cabin is accessed by a pair of outward opening doors which the firm refers to as ‘dragon doors’. The cabin is quite reminiscent of the Corvette’s. One exception is the chopped off steering wheel which is: Ergonomically designed steering wheel inspired by Formula One. We wonder if anyone at Rezvani follows the sport?

Where things get really interesting is the levels of customisation on offer. Rezvani offers a few optional extras as packages and some on their own. Among these is the ‘007 Package’ that includes  strobe lights, sirens and horns, an intercom system, a first aid and a hypothermia kit. There also run flat tyres, gas masks, and a thermal night vision system. More serious additions include a pepper spray dispenser, a smoke screen, electrified door handles, “blinding lights,” EMP pulse protection, magnetic deadbolts, and explosive device detection. Buyers can also opt for a bullet-proof package, which includes body and glass, though that probably hurts the 1 345 kg mass.
