Mercedes-Benz broke new ground when it launched its very first LCV last year. Dubbed the X-Class the new range is based on the latest generation Nissan Navara. Platform sharing meant the Mercedes opted for Nissan powerplants in derivatives lower down the range. However, for the range leader Mercedes chose to use its very own drivetrain. And we have Mercedes-Benz X350d pricing.

A full range

Making up the Mercedes-Benz X-Class range are the X220d and the X250d and now MB SA has added the V6 X-Class X350d. The latest addition to the line-up will be available for delivery by the end of November.

The X350d is more of a leisure option compared to its two siblings. With 190 kW of power from its V6 engine it is aimed at those who tow caravans and boats to holiday destinations.

“We are confident that the new V6 X-Class range-topper presents a next to none offering – combining modern design, safety, sophistication and a supreme level of comfort. The V6 X350d reflects luxury and performance, best characterised by quality engineering and of course, power like no other,” says Nadia Trimmel, vice-president of Mercedes-Benz Vans Southern Africa.

Two trim levels of the V6 X-Class will be available locally, called Progressive and Power, though both have the same engine and power outputs.

Pricing:

Mercedes-Benz X350d Progressive – R904 188

Mercedes-Benz X350d Power – R973 188
