In recent times the company has partnered with OEMs to build life-size versions of popular cars, such as this Bugatti Chiron. Now they have built a full-size Lego Toyota GR Supra.

The Lego Toyota GR Supra was built to celebrate 35 years of the Japanese automaker’s famous sportscar nameplate. The life-size Supra model consists of 477 000 Lego blocks that took a team of 21 builders and two mechanics – who worked 24 hours a day in three shifts – a total of 5 400 hours to assemble. It weighs 1 885 kg, almost 400 kg more than the road-going vehicle.

The plastic block car has several carryover items from the real deal, including the steering wheel, tyres, driver’s seat and badges; it also has fully functioning head- and taillights. In place of the turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, the Lego Toyota Supra uses an electric motor that can propel the car to a top speed of 28 km/h, somewhat shy of the road-going car..
