German tuning house Manhart is known for producing powerful versions of performance cars. It seems they are willing to diversify into hybrid performance cars as well, if the Manhart CRE700 is anything to go by.

AWD Hybrid

As a reminder the most recent C63S has ditched the twin-turbo V8. AMG has replaced it with a 2,0-litre turbocharged inline four with a hybrid component. The net result is 500 kW of power and over 1 000 N.m of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels, as per the standard C63S.

The Manhart CRE700 has a new ECU that helps unleash 534 kW of power and 1 120 N.m of twist effort. Manhart has also upgraded the exhaust system with sports downpipes including 300-cell catalytic converters. The company says this gives the four-cylinder a much more powerful voice

More Aggro

Manhart gives the CRE700 a slightly different look. The body has been lowered 20 mm with H&R springs. The body gets one of the company’s signature graphics kits. Even the factory matt black AMG wheels also have red decorative stripes. Owners can opt for larger alloys if they prefer.
