Today the Texas-based hypercar manufacturer unveiled the Venom F5 Revolution Roadster. For added visual drama the carbon-fibre skin has been left unpainted save for a layer of clearcoat.

Revised Roadster

The Venom F5 Revolution Roadster promises ultimate performance on the road and track with improved agility, uncompromised handling, and higher downforce. Aerodynamic enhancements comprise of larger front and rear splitters, dive planes on the front and a new rear wing. The aero updates work in unison with retuned suspension and new wheels.

A single-piece roof made from carbon-fibre is removable to allow occupants the full al-fresco experience. The roof panel weighs a mere 8 kg, which should make it easy enough for one person to remove.

Twin-turbo V8

The Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution shares all the basics with other F5 siblings. It is based on the same carbon-fibre monocoque. The same 6,6-litre V8 powers the roadster variant as well. The twin-turbocharged unit produces 1 335 kW along with 1 617 N.m of torque. The Venom F5 Revolution Roadster has a tempered glass engine viewing window as standard to show off the powerplant.

In His Own Words

John Hennessey, company founder and CEO: “The new Venom F5 Revolution Roadster combines our track-focused hypercar with an open-top for an unmatched visceral driving experience. This first example, a bespoke build for a special client, debuts our bare carbon finish with its meticulous handcrafted exposed carbon-fiber weave. Our hypercar is a timeless work of art that is as visually inspiring as it is physically engaging, thanks to its 1 817-hp combustion-only twin-turbocharged V8.”
