Rezvani's Beast X is the most extreme form of the Corvette C8.

Rezvani's Beast X takes the C8 platform to absurd new limits with a twin-turbo V8, carbon body, and blistering sprint time.

New

Rezvani has taken the Corvette C8 and transformed it to the most extreme version yet. The result is the Beast X, a carbon-bodied hypercar with a twin-turbocharged 6,2-litre V8 and bespoke aero. Rezvani has kept the mid-engine C8 layout, then reworked the body, driveline and cabin. Only five will be built.

This is the latest rebodied model, following on from the Dune, which is an off-roader based on a Lamborghini Huracan.

A Corvette base

Rezvani says the Beast X uses a custom-built twin-turbocharged 6,2-litre V8 with forged internals. Output is quoted at 1 1 164 kW and 1 735 N.m. Power goes through an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox to all four wheels.

Chevrolet’s Corvette ZR1X makes 933 kW and Rezvani suggests the Beast X makes that look tame. Even the regular Beast, in its strongest form, tops out at 746 kW and sends drive to the rear wheels only. The new car is in a different league entirely. The benchmark sprint is said to take about two seconds.

Carbon body, max attitude

The bodywork is where the Beast X stops pretending to be a Corvette derivative. Rezvani has wrapped the car in a full carbon shell with openings and ducts that look racetrack ready. Up front, the nose is dominated by huge intakes that feed air beneath the bumper and through the frunk area. There are canards at the corners, plus front fender vents with a Porsche 911 GT3 RS flavour.

The profile is just as loud. Rezvani has fitted scissor doors, large intakes behind them, larger side sills and a roof intake. At the rear, the car gets a deep diffuser, a central twin-pipe exhaust and two separate hoop-shaped spoilers mounted side by side. Everything is there to shove the car into through the atmosphere at max speed.

The cabin gets the same full reset. Rezvani has retrimmed the interior and lopped off bits of steering wheel, a choice that seems aimed at disguising the C8 relationship while also making the cockpit look more like an exotic one-off than a Chevrolet product.

The ultimate American hypercar claim

Rezvani has moved the Corvette C8 into proper mid-engine territory. The Beast X takes that platform and turns it into a machine that is less about comparison testing and more about excess for its own sake. With only five examples planned, the Beast X is built for the few buyers who want a Corvette-based car that does not read as a Corvette at all, then want it turned up to 11.
