During this year’s upcoming Pebble Beach Car Week, in California, Audi will unveil an all-new supercar, dubbed the Audi PB18 e-tron; well, for now anyway. PB18 refers to Pebble Beach 2018 so we can’t imagine that name will stick.

According to Audi’s press release it will be revealing a world-first “a supercar concept car with electric drive.” We are pretty sure there are quite a few of those around already.

The e-tron part of its name makes us think that the new model will boast some of the technology that was used in Audi’s Le Mans-series winner, the Audi R18 e-tron.

From this teaser image, we can see that the concept car is low-slung. We can also see aggressive looking headlamps and the hint of a rear wing. To our eyes the PB18 looks like a modernised version of the Audi Avus concept from 1991. The styling of the Audi PB 18 e-tron was developed at the new Malibu Design Loft quite close to Pebble Beach.

The Audi PB18 e-tron will be unveiled at 17:00 on August 23, 2018, on the Laguna Seca racetrack.
