World Premiere

2022 BMW M Fest is part of the worldwide celebration of the 50th anniversary of M. The event is taking place after a three year absence and it will return to the Kyalami Grand Prix circuit in Johannesburg.

BMW AG has chosen this event for the worldwide debut the all-new BMW M2. They newcomer will be shown alongside recent new models: the BMW XM and BMW M4 CSL. The M2 and XM will go on sale locally in the first half of 2023.

Fans can also expect to see a full array of current and classic BMW M vehicles on display. South African BMW DTM driver Sheldon van der Linde will be in attendance fresh from claiming the German touring car crown this past weekend. He is the first SA driver to claim this title.

On-track Action

The Drift Brothers are making a special trip to Johannesburg with their custom BMW M4 Coupe Competitions for spectacular smoky sideways demonstrations. BMW Driving Experience’s drivers will also be on hand to provide hot laps to showgoers. There will also be a custom-built course to experience new BMWs from behind the wheel. Racing fans can watch round eight of the BMW Car Club Gauteng’s race series. 

Party Time

M Fans can make a full day of it and stay to watch musical acts at the 2022 BMW M Fest. Headliners include Zakes Bantwini and Mafikizolo, and supported by the likes of DBN Gogo, Black Motion, DJ Zinhle, Desmond and the Tutus, Mango Groove, Lady Zamar, and many more.
