A Bad Start

Just in case you don’t know, the 2023 Las Vegas F1 GP started yesterday. The event has been hyped up for months and fans across the world eagerly awaited the start of the race weekend. However, the first free practice session ground to a halt as did the No55 Ferrari after it hit a loose road covering. The damage caused Sainz to stop halfway down the famous Las Vegas Strip.

Word came through that the metal object had damaged the monocoque, the engine and the battery pack. All of which had to be changed. The resultant (expensive) damage required all those parts to be replaced. As a result, Sainz has earned a ten-place grid-drop through no fault of his, or the team.
