By any stretch of the imagination, the McLaren 600LT is a powerful and fast car. But for some people, 441 kW just isn’t enough. That’s where firms like Novitec enter the fold, to offer cars such as its latest creation: the Novitec McLaren 600LT.

Turning it up

Novitec offers upgrades for many high-end supercars. You can see just a few samples at this link. Its bespoke tuning services have now been increased to include the ‘Longtail’ McLaren 600LT.

The German company starts by increasing the power of the 3,8-litre twin-turbocharged V8. Various power upgrade options are available for the 600LT. Special mapping for the two Novitec N-Tronic modules is accessed through the McLaren’s standard Active Dynamic Panel on the car’s facia. In its most powerful guise the Novitec McLaren 600LT produces an additional 65 kW for a peak of 506 kW and an extra 92 N.m of torque for a massive 712 N.m.

Novitec says that the tuned 600LT blitzes the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 2,8 seconds, with top speed increasing to 333 km/h. A tailor-made Novitec sport exhaust system delivers a new, more vocal acoustic accompaniment.

Looking the part

The Novitec McLaren 600LT has a bespoke engine cover over a new two-piece carbon-fibre airbox. The car’s appearance is further enhanced by Novitec MC3 wheels produced by American alloy manufacturer Vossen. The seven-spoke rims are available in 77 different colour variants. These alloys measure 20-inches on the front and 21-inches on the rear axle. Pirelli P Zero high-performance tyres measure 235/30 and 305/30, respectively. New sport springs, of Novitec’s own design, lower the ride height by about 30 mm for a meaner stance and added road-holding capability. Novitec also gives the interior its own special treatment. Buyers can choose from the finest leathers and Alcantara in any colour they desire.
