Here is your Monday motorsport round-up of the top categories of world motor racing.

If you missed it somehow, Red Bull Racing F1 pilot, Daniel Ricciardo will be leaving the team at the end of 2018. The Aussie made the shock announcement late last week. Ricciardo will step out of Red Bull colours and into the yellow and black of Renault F1 for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. He will partner Nico Hulkenberg as Ricciardo replaces Spaniard Carlos Sainz, Jr.

FIA World Rally Cross

The seventh round of the FIA World Rally Cross season took place in Canada this weekend. It was Johan Kristoffersson (VW) who romped away from the field for the win in North America. The reigning champ and current points leader was followed home by Timmy Hansen (Peugeot) with multiple WRC champion Sebastien Loeb in third.

MotoGP

Ducati team-mates Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo romped home to a 1-2 at the Czech MotoGP event held at the Brno circuit. The final podium position was taken by championship point’s leader Marc Marquez. The reigning champ, Honda-mounted Marquez, fought the pair ahead of him in the final four laps. As Dovi put some distance between him and the chasing pair, it was Lorenzo who relegated Marquez to 3rd spot.
