Drifting videos are great. When done right they show skilled drivers at their best (as you can see here). When done wrong they are hilarious for viewers. The featured cars can be anything from boosted Miatas to rally reps or supercars. But seldom do we get to watch something as rare and valuable as a McLaren F1 drifting.

Never Before

We have seen many drifting videos, but we have never seen a McLaren F1 drifting on public roads before. These cars are so valuable these days that most are hidden away in private collections as investments. The car featured in this video is reportedly no garage queen. It is used quite a bit, according to the owner’s social media channels.

As a reminder, only 106 of these iconic supercars were made. They usually change hands for inordinate amounts of money. Most recently one sold for north of R370m (yes, three hundred and seventy meelleeyon rands). The Mac F1 is still the fastest, naturally aspirated car of all time. Watch the car set the record in this video.

The wheelman seen in this video has made quite a name for himself for drifting all manner of unlikely and rare machines. He isn’t shy to get a wide angle of dangle, even when the car isn’t his. He is both brave and talented, a great combination to have. You’ll want to turn up your speakers for the in-car video to listen to the BMW V12 motor scream.
