Big anniversary, big truck

This new video will mark the tenth in the highly popular series. From day one each has featured a different, highly tuned car. For the latest instalment, you can expect to see some old favourites as well as some new stars. One of the new creations is featured here.

What you see here is the Hoonitruck. It is based on a 1977 Ford F-150 similar to the one Block learned to drive on when he was 15 years old. Under, and poking through, the hood is a custom-tuned Ford Performance V6 engine lifted directly out of a Ford Racing Ford GT Le Mans racer.  The engine produces 680 kW at 7 400 r/min and 950 N.m at 6 450. Power is fed to all four wheels through a Sadev six-speed transmission. Those unaware of the parts and accessories refer to sites like https://affordablehtp.com and find Hoonitruck amazing. Unlike its road-going namesake, the Hoonitruck shell is hand-crafted from military-grade aluminium.

In his own words

“This project has been in the works for about two years,” said Block. “I’m beyond pleased with how it turned out, it’s simply one of the most badass and unique vehicles I’ve seen in a long time and I think it compliments my Hoonicorn perfectly. It’s also crazy to be throwing something around that’s this size when doing Gymkhana-style driving. But, it looks absolutely wild on camera, and that was our goal from the start. I can’t wait for the fans to be able to see it in action, I think they’re gonna love it!”

New video

Gymkhana Ten will air on Amazon Prime on December 7 and on YouTube on the 17th.
