A new range of SUV derivatives has landed in South Africa. The Jaguar F-Pace Chequered Flag variants offer bespoke style, exterior styling, distinctive badging and a choice of engines, as well as a high-level of specification.

Bespoke touches

The Jaguar F-Pace Chequered Flag models feature styling that includes a re-profiled front bumper and gloss black detailing on the front grille, door cladding, side vents and roof rails. As standard these variants are fitted with 19-inch split-spoke alloys also finished in a dark hue. These models are available in Yulong White, Santorini Black and in a newly introduced Eiger Grey.

To differentiate the interior occupants are privy to perforated leather seats with 10-way electric adjustability, meshed aluminium detailing and unique Chequered Flag treadplates. Other highlights include an infotainment system with Touch Pro Navigation and a Meridian sound system as standard equipment. The system is accessed by a 12,3-inch touchscreen interface with Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Engine options

Jaguar F-Pace Chequered Flag derivatives are available with a range of 2,0-litre powertrains. The two turbodiesel options have an output of 132- and 177 kW. The most powerful version is the turbopetrol that is fitted with the company’s all-aluminium Ingenium engine. This unit is good for 184 kW. It can propel the F-Pace from 0-100 km/h in 7,0 seconds and on to a top speed of 217 km/h. Drive is fed to all four wheels via an automatic transmission regardless of the engine choice.
