New Look Inside and Out
The seventh generation Ford Mustang has a new appearance that sharpens up the lines we saw on its predecessor. For now, the Mustang is available in coupe body style. Standard 19-inch alloys underline its sporty nature. The cabin is characterised by large curved facia. There are two digital displays: a 12,4-inch digital instrument cluster and 13,2-inch infotainment interface. The latter controls 12 B&O speakers.
V8 Power Remains
A 5,0-litre V8 engine still resides under the vented bonnet. The naturally aspirated ‘Coyote’ engine develops 328 kW of power and 540 N.m of torque. A 10-speed automatic is the only transmission on offer. The engine breathes through as exhaust system that features an active valve. Some mechanical highlights include a front strut brace, a Torsen limited slip differential, active suspension, and large Brembo brakes. There are also brake ducts for enhanced cooling and an engine oil cooler.
The seventh generation Ford Mustang debuts with a price of R1 300 000.
