After a short illness, founder and CEO of Brabus, Bodo Buschmann, passed away on April 26, 2018.

Long history

Buschmann founded the world-famous company in 1977, at just 22 years old. Brabus may be known as a tuning company, but it is considered an automotive manufacturer in Germany.

Since the very start, the firm has used premium brands, particularly Mercedes-Benz to form the basis of its high-performance creations. In more recent times it expanded its offering to include Smart and Tesla vehicles.

Brabus also had an arm that was dedicated to exclusive refinement and restoration of Mercedes-Benz automobiles.

Record-setting

Brabus vehicles often made headlines by setting world records, such as the 370 km/h top speed achieved by the Brabus 900 Rocket, as verified by the Guinness Book of World Records.
