Anniversary editions

The two latest Mustang Shelby Super Snake editions will be introduced to celebrate the 98th anniversary of company founder Carroll Shelby. Check out the original Super Snake by clicking here. Both versions of the Super Snake stand out from regular Mustangs thanks to a more aggressive front bumper with splitter, rear spoiler and a domed bonnet.

V8 power

At the heart of these American muscle cars is Ford’s latest generation 5,0-litre V8 engine. The motor is fed by a Whipple supercharger to ramp up power to supercar levels of output. Maximum power is rated at 615 kW, all of which is sent to the rear axle. Ford says the Super Snake can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3,5 seconds.

Helping to keep that power in check is a Shelby Track Handling Package and performance brakes. This comprises high-performance tyres, measuring 305 mm wide, wrapped around 20-inch one-piece forged aluminium wheels.
