Formula One
Formula One visited Sao Paulo this weekend for the continent’s only Formula One Grand Prix race. The Brazilian Grand Prix took place at Autodromo Jose Carlos, more commonly referred to as Interlagos yesterday.

The Driver’s championship was sewn up at the previous round held in Mexico, with Lewis Hamilton claiming his fifth title. Hamilton is now the most successful driver of his era, having claimed the double, twice, and half of all the races contested in the turbo-hybrid era. There was still plenty to play for as the Constructor’s championship was still a close fought affair between Mercedes and Ferrari.
Victory went to Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) with Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) claiming second and Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) third. Mercedes’ two cars accumulated enough points to give the team an unassailable points lead going into the final round. Mercedes-AMG F1 are now the Constructor’s champions for the fifth time in a row.
There was controversy in the race as a backmarker collided with Verstappen while the RBR driver was leading the race. Verstappen spun out and lost the lead to Hamilton.
