Why I bought this car: Datsun has always been a brand that brings a sense of historic nostalgia to the table, one that has inspired later generations of compact models.

Common issues with this model: The car’s ignition systems always need to be checked. ie points/condensers.

Major repairs I’ve conducted: No repairs have been done, besides some surface paint correction, cleaning and detailing.

The best thing about my car: The fact that I’ve incorporated the JDM style into the car with fender-mounted mirrors, blacked out grill, front spoiler and back louvre. The 15-inch mini-lite (Watanabe replica) rims give it a detailed finish complimenting the factory fitted vinyl roof. The car’s original interior is an added feature giving the car a complete finish.

The car has a rear-wheel drivetrain with an independent factory fitted suspension making corners a driving pleasure. It is a matching numbers car that really has stood the test of time.

The worst thing about my car: The standard steering, braking system and electronic ignition system that could do with an upgrade.
