You would expect a rally car travelling at over 200 mph and suddenly bursting into flames to result in certain death or at least serious injury, but Jack Beckman obviously has other ideas. While racing at an event at the Auto Club Raceway in Pomona California, his Dodge Charger caught fire and exploded, completely destroying the bodywork. But instead panicking and running from the flaming vehicle as you would expect any sane person to do, Jack stays calm, deploys the parachute, and not only finishes the race but goes on to win it too. He seems completely at ease as he emerges from the flaming car of death to wave to the crowd, as though exploding cars are just another day at the office.
