In a little over two days, fans of the world’s fastest sport will enjoy a Cape Town F1 experience. Red Bull Racing will be hosting an exclusive event on the streets of Cape Town on June 2 from 12:00 midday until 17:00. Our original story on the Red Bull Racing F1 experience being hosted in Cape Town can be found at this link. For many South African Formula One fans, this will be as close as they ever get to see a real F1 car driven in anger.

Genuine F1 winner

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing will roll out its championship-winning RB7 which claimed 18 pole
positions and 12 race wins from 19 starts during the 2011 season. The RB7 is powered by a screaming 2,4-litre, naturally aspirated V8.

The man behind the wheel of Red Bull Racing’s championship-winning racecar is multiple F1 race winner David Coulthard. The Scotsman will be laying down rubber and creating clouds of expensive smoke at Cape Town’s Grand Parade. (See three rampaging Red Bulls in action by clicking here) Cape Town will be hosting the latest in a series of events which, of late, has included Zandvoort in the Netherlands, Budapest in Hungary and lighting up the streets of Hanoi, Vietnam.

Formula One returns to Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix, more info here.

More than F1

Fans can expect to see more than just the Red Bull Racing F1 car in action. The main attraction will be supported by demos from Lithuanian motorcycle stunt rider Arunas ‘Aras’ Gibieza, the Cape Town Drift Squad and local motorbike stunt-riding legend Brian Capper.
