A few days ago Porsche unveiled the 963 RSP. This is a one-off machine that is a lightly disguised version of the automaker’s current endurance racer. Click here for original article. Aston Martin has gone in the other direction by offering 10 examples of the Valkyrie LM.

Valkyrie LM is an exquisite opportunity to be part of the most exclusive Aston Martin owners club in the world; a group who can immerse themselves in the purest and most comparable endurance driving experience, one that would otherwise only be available to our works drivers operating at the very limit of sportscar racing’s highest echelon. With Valkyrie LM, there has never been an opportunity to get closer to the raw dynamic forces and state of the art technology deployed by the hypercar currently competing in WEC and IMSA

Road Car Turned Racer

The Aston Martin Valkyrie LM is based on the road-going car of the same name. The Valkyrie was conceived by ace racecar designer Adrian Newey. It may have started as a road car but it has been converted to compete in endurance racing series such as IMSA and the FIA WEC. As a result it is the only race-derived machine in the top class that has a road-going counterpart.

Just a Few

Valkyrie LM was created to give ten fans the chance to experience what the team’s pro drivers do. LM is powered by a modified, lean-burn version of the Cosworth-built 6,5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine. It has been tuned to an identical regulation-limited 520kW of peak power. The rear-wheel-drive Valkyrie LM is driven through a seven-speed sequential transmission operated by semi-automatic paddle shifters. The suspension features double wishbones front and rear, with pushrod actuated torsion bar springs and adjustable side and central dampers.

Tailor Made

Valkyrie LM owners can take full possession of their cars. However, the company has developed a dedicated driver development program. This program comes with driving training, vehicle preparation and as well as a series of events organised especially for owners. If you choose to be a part of this then you car will be stored and maintained by Aston Martin and transported to and from the venues.
