According to a study published in the United States, one in three Subaru WRX owners have been ticketed in the last three years, making it the most ticketed vehicle in the U.S. Other cars on the most ticketed list includes the Pontiac GTO as the second most ticketed, followed by the Scion FR-S and the Toyota Supra. Perhaps the biggest surprise on the list are the Volkswagen Rabbit and the Mercury Topaz, two cars whose production has been discontinued for more than twenty years. Another surprising factor is the absence of sports cars such as the Dodge Viper and Porsche Cayman from the top of the list. Experts have citied that the reason for this is that although these cars are much faster than those at the top of the list, they are also more costly meaning their owners tend to be older and willing to take fewer risks.
