Traditionally monster trucks are built for power, being able to jump over cars or just land right on top of them. Speed is not something that would cross most of our minds when thinking of monster trucks. But the Hall Brother Racing Team from Austin Texas recently set the world record for “Fastest Speed for a Monster Truck” reaching a speed of 159.5 km/h. Driver mark Hall set the record driving the “Raminator”, an absolute beast weighing in at 4672 kilogrammes. Since setting the record, the Monster Truck racing Association have named the Raminator it’s “Truck of the Year” and Mark Hall has received their “Driver of the Year” award.
