Get Lost is a new boutique firm that was founded by automotive photographer George Williams. Get Lost’s first creation is the Project Safari Lotus Elise. This is a completely new take on the famous Elise S1, better known for its on-track abilities. Williams has engaged with a multidisciplinary team drawn from motorsport, design studios, and fabrication.

The idea of taking an Elise off-road might sound ridiculous, and that’s exactly why we leaned into it. That one silly idea gave us real creative freedom. Every element was considered from the ground up, not just to look good in isolation, but to enhance the character and capability of the entire car. It wasn’t enough for the car to look good – it had to be brilliant to drive too. This is not a modified Elise, it’s our interpretation of what the platform had to offer. Everything has been considered – from the design to the drive – all in the pursuit of creating something that’s fun
– George Williams, founder of Get Lost
Rally Ready
The most obvious change carried out to the Project Safari Lotus Elise is the raised ride height. The body rides 100 mm higher than a standard S1 on a custom suspension set up. Additionally, the front and rear tracks have been widened and the car rolls on larger alloys fitted with all-terrain tyres. There is even a spare wheel mounted on the rear deck. The underbody has been reinforced, so you can tread where you want without fear. Get Lost has added a hydraulic handbrake and fitted a limited-slip diff’ so you know they plan for the car to be sideways.

Rugged Appearance
The standard lines and appearance of the S1 are a bit to dainty for any bundu bashing, so Get Lost has added a few choice upgrades. Highlights include a custom roof scoop to feed the mid-mounted motor, rectangular LED headlights, and a completely redesigned interior. The company’s press material also mentions that there is an all-new powertrain, but doesn’t go into any details… weird.
