Gotham City may have all the neat toys, but Italy has the cool cars. This could explain why Warner Bros has partnered with famed styling house Pininfarina to create the B95 Gotham. Bruce Wayne, the alter ego of DC superhero Batman was the inspiration for the ‘one-of-one’ B95 Gotham. The ‘Gotham’ is the first of four, which includes Battista Gotham, B95 Dark Knight and Battista Dark Knight. Only one example of each will ever be produced, guaranteeing complete exclusivity.

Background

Styling house Pininfarina has, for decades, created evocative designs for other automakers. For the first time ever, the company has produced a car that carries its own name. That car is called the Battista. It is based on the all-electric Rimac Nevera. As a result it has one electric motor per corner that delivers a total of 1 400 kW and a massive 2 340 N.m of torque. The Battista spawned an open-top version called the B95 Barchetta, which forms the basis of the car featured here.

Unique Treatment

The B95 Gotham has two electronically adjustable aero screens to deflect air over the open cabin, as with the B95 Barchetta. The design features Wayne Enterprises logos on the body, chassis plate and door plates complete the exterior. The bodywork is finished in Argento Vittorio gloss black paint, with unique wheels featuring a matt black inner and gloss black outer ring. Titan calipers and a brushed aluminium anodised black centre lock ring complete the look.

The interior is upholstered in tan leather. In addition it features a bespoke Wayne Enterprises-inspired HMI display, with a virtual assistant voice inspired by Alfred Pennyworth, the Wayne family’s butler. The car is completed with a bespoke driver’s side door plate, which is laser-engraved with the words “All men have limits… I ignore mine” a famous quote attributed to Bruce Wayne in the original comic books.
