Off-roading supercars have become popular of late. Prime examples are the Porsche 911 Dakar and Lamborghini Sterrato. But those were conceived and built by the automakers. This off-road Dodge Viper is neither of those things.

The off-road Dodge Viper was conceived and built by a YouTuber called Superfast Matt. Matt Brown is an automotive engineer who has spent the last decade working at places like Tesla, Apple, and NASCAR. So he knows a thing or two about cars.

About a year ago Mr Brown had the idea to take the famous V10-powered Viper and convert it for off-road use. He was very clear that he didn’t want to simply drop a Viper body onto a custom or existing off-road platform. He wanted to keep the V10, the car’s original frame and body, with the requisite modifications.

Matt started with a pretty neat second-generation Viper. He completely redesigned the front and rear suspensions. Then had it all custom made and fitted it all himself. The process took some time, and Matt broke it all down on his YouTube channel. The car recently got its first outing, which you can watch in the video below.
