A thousand brake horsepower was once reserved for certain forms of racing. More recently it became the entry point to the hypercar club. The Novitec Ferrari SF90 makes sure that such a figure is available to an even wider group. Well, a wide but very wealthy group.

Hybrid Power

The Ferrari SF90 Stradale is the current range-topper of the Prancing Horse stable. Is is only the second hybrid model from the brand, after the LaFerrari. It has a twin-turbocharged 3,9-litre V8 motor that delivers 574 kW and 800 N.m (900 N.m on overboost) of torque.

The Novitec Ferrari SF90 Stradale offers even more power and performance. The V8 now boasts 816 kW (1 109 hp in old money). Meanwhile peak torque grows from 800 to 918 N.m. Novitec leaves the powertrain’s three electric motors untouched. The power increases comes from plug-and-play ECU models that remaps the ignition and fuel curves. In addition, the boost pressure from the twin turbochargers has been increased.

The all-wheel-drive supercar is said to blitz the zero to 100 km/h run in just 2,4 seconds and reaches 200 km/h less than four seconds later. The top speed has been increased to over 340 km/h.

New appearance

Over and above the power increase the German tuning house offers a new, sharper look for the SF90 Stradale. Novitec developed a new bodykit in the wind tunnel to develop more aerodynamic downforce.

The carbon-fibre bits on the Novitec Ferrari SF90 include a front spoiler, flaps on the left and right and front fenders with air outlets above the tyres. There are also rocker panels, new pieces for the side mirrors as well as special air deflectors for the intakes in the quarter panels. The latter items direct even more airflow into the engine bay. At the rear is a large ducktail rear spoiler and a roof spoiler. The final piece of the aero addenda is a carbon-fibre diffuser.

A set of custom hi-tech forged wheels add to the new look. Vossen developed the NF10 alloys with five twin-spokes in 21×9,5J wide for the front and 21x12J for the rear axle. The ride height has also been dropped by 25 mm at the rear and 30 mm at the front.
