Powerhouse

The Concept AMG GT XX is, as you may have guessed, an EV. It is powered by two electric drive units (EDUs) that deliver over 1 000 kW to all four wheels. Mercedes press materials says that the GT car has a top speed in excess of 360 km/h. 800V architecture and 850 kW charging allow the GT XX to take on 400 km of range in just five minutes, about the same time as refueling an ICE car.

Race-y Inside

The GT XX features deep bucket seats. These carbon-fibre items have custom cushioning based on a customer’s body scan. Interior trim, including the seat padding is made from GT3 race tyres. In front of the driver is a large dual-tablet display and a yoke-style steering wheel with twistable selectors and paddle shifters. The car also features a full-on V8 soundtrack that is simulated and piped out by a sound systems that also feeds speakers mounted on the outside of the car.
