In the latest teaser video from McLaren showing off their Sports Series range we get to see the car drifting in a snowy-weather setting. While the video is slightly blurred and the car is camouflaged, you can clearly see the design makings of other McLaren cars present in this Sports Series model.
The performance specifications have been released, with the entry-level model expected to be in the 550 hp range, with a 0-60mp/h time of less than 4 seconds and the top speed eclipsing the 180 mp/h mark.
Although it has lower power than some of their other cars, McLaren are confident that the Sports Series will be able to rival the likes of the Porsche 911 or the Audi R8. Production numbers are also greater for the Sports Series, with an expected 2 500 cars expected to leave production plants each year.
Keep your eyes on the New York Show next month where the McLaren Sports Series will be making it’s debut.
