In our experience, many racing drivers aren’t really petrolheads. At the top end of the sport it’s about competition rather than loving cars. However, Lando Norris’ exotic car collection proves that the rising star is a car lover, the same as anyone else who follows this website. As you will read below, Lando Norris has an appreciation for both modern performance and classic style. He has a collection that would make many petrolheads proud.

I’ve been able to drive a lot of different McLarens, but this is the first car that I’ve designed; this is me in a car. I’m a carbon lover, the more carbon I can have, the better but I didn’t want to have my logo everywhere, I wanted something a bit more subtle and MSO has done a fantastic job to realise my vision. My first custom car has been designed by McLaren and MSO and is even more perfect than I can imagine

McLaren 765 LT Spider

As a McLaren driver it is only fitting that Lando Norris’ exotic car collection is headed by a car from Woking. The blue McLaren 765 LT Spider was tailored for Norris by the company’s in-house McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division. The Spider version of the supercar is a one-off for Norris with a special plaque and several styling touches that were chosen by the multiple F1 race winner. Contrasting yellow accents on the brake calipers and body are a nod to his helmet, while the four stripes represent his racing number.

There are also “LN” logos embroidered into the headrests, just in case anyone spies it in a car park and wonders. Norris also owns a McLaren Senna, named after the famous triple F1 champ and McLaren driver Ayrton. We suspect that his company car is pretty much any McLaren that is currently the newest on offer.

Ferrari F40

Norris’ Ferrari F40 recently made headlines for all the wrong reasons. The Monaco resident is often seen driving his iconic Prancing Horse around Monaco. But it was the subject of multiple articles as video of it crashing was plastered all over social media. The twin-turbo V8 supercar is known to be a handful, but nothing Lando can’t handle, we’d imagine. The car was supposedly driven by a friend of Norris at the time, no word on the current state of the car, or if they are still friends. Click here to read our driving review of a Ferrari F40.

Porsche Carrera GT

Lando may race for McLaren, but his car collection is quite diverse. The Porsche Carrera GT is one of the standouts of his collection. His car is, fittingly, finished in classic British racing green. The naturally aspirated V10 engine and manual transmission make the Porsche a true driver’s car. As a result it is ideally suited to an expert helmsman such as the young Brit. Shelby Cobra 427

It seems Norris isn’t just a fan of modern performance machinery, as this classic American performance car proves. Norris’ collection includes a Shelby Cobra 427. His car reportedly features a 7,0-litre V8 that is mated with a manual transmission. In its current state it wears a mirror-like wrap but is dark blue with a white stripe along its length. Most recent news is that the car is up for sale.

Lamborghini Urus Performante

In recent times, Norris has been spotted driving a Lamborghini Urus around Monte Carlo. Since McLaren doesn’t produce an SUV, and a Ferrari Purosangue may be considered a no-no by his employers, the twin-turbo V8 Urus probably fulfills the role of people carrier and for trips to fetch friends and family from the nearest private airport.

Lamborghini Miura

Another classic and another Lambo in Lando Norris’ exotic car collection is a Lamborghini Miura. His Miura is an original P400 version. This means it features a 3,9-litre V12 engine. The seductive shape is finished in deep blue and boasts orange leather inside. Some reports suggest that he also owns an Aventador.

Land Rover Defender

But Norris’ collection isn’t all about speed. He has a classic Land Rover Defender restored by UK firm Retro Automotive. The car has a special Nardo Grey pearlescent mix, made just for Lando, with Muirhead Egyptian Blue leather. 3D-printed metal ‘Lando Norris’ iconography is displayed around the car, including in the centre of the leather steering wheel. This Defender features a rebuilt Rover V8 engine and adjustable air suspension, oh, and no roof whatsoever.

Fiat 500 Jolly

1972 Fiat 500 Jolly

Norris once owned one of these uber-cool Fiat 500 Jollys. His was a replica of the original 500 Jolly. It featured a humble 499 cm3 inline-two engine. He once said of the Fiat: I only really go to the golf club or sometimes drive down to Nice or Cannes with a couple of friends. It’s a bit different to the day job, that’s for sure. It’s got 15 horsepower so it’s a struggle to get up the hill out of Monaco – you can’t even go for third gear or you’ll grind to a halt up there.

Lando Norris’ Dream Garage

Norris once outlined his ideal three-car garage to UK media outlet Top Gear, and it just underlines his credentials as a proper petrolhead. His wish list includes a:

  1. McLaren F1
  2. Pagani Huayra R
  3. Singer DLS
