Hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg seems to enjoy setting records. The Swedish firm has now broken its own record from 0-400 km/h-0 that it set just a year ago.

New Record Holder

On June 27th Koenigsegg test driver, Markus Lundh, blasted a Koenigsegg Jesko from 0-400-0 km/h in just 27,83 seconds, shaving nearly a full second from the previous record time set by the Regera in 2023. Lundh performed the run at an airfield in Örebro, Sweden. Koenigsegg chose to run a Jesko in ‘Absolut’ trim. This derivative is designed specifically for straight-line speed. As a result it has a smaller frontal area and no active aero. Jesko Absolut has one of the lowest drag ratings in the hypercar world with a Cd of just 0,278.

In fact, in just one run from standstill to 412 km/h and back to zero, the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut set four new world records for a fully homologated, standard production car.

0-400-0 km/h – 27,83 seconds
0-400 km/h – 18,82 seconds
0-250-0 mph – 28,27 seconds
0-250 mph – 19,20 seconds

Data was recorded using industry-standard timing equipment from Racelogic and verified by Racelogic HQ in the United Kingdom

In His Own Words

“This record run validated the accuracy of the simulated and calculated performance of the Jesko Absolut, which gives us great confidence in its ability to outright be the fastest, fully homologated production car in the world. Now it is all down to tyre testing, development, and approval, before we finally can make an attempt at that record. In parallel, we plan to see what kind of records the Jesko Attack can achieve, given its astonishing track performance.”
